Racism and the Antisemitic Left.

Just Another Jewish Antisemite

You really do need to read this to get an idea of what is going down in the world.

The Australian Left supports this ideology.  They overlook every evil in the world to pound this Jew bashing pinhole view of the planet with such force that you really do not have to think too hard about what we are seeing before our eyes.

We only need to understand how dangerous it is.

Sooner or later this mongrel nazi mindset will have to be confronted head on. We all know where it starts.  None of us can say for sure how it ends. No more apologies for sleazy fascist racism in the guise of religion would be an excellent move right now.

No more excuses for sleazy fascist racism in the guise of reformist politics would be the perfect second step on the floor.

We need to be very clear about the Australian Left. We know who they are. Racists and antisemites to the core, especially the Jews.   It's a shameful thing to have to admit but it is an important thing that has to be said.

There is no worse racist than an antisemitic Jew.

Never mind climate change. This thing has the potential to blow us all sky high.

Palestinian Cleric Pounds ‘Penis Ads’

Preacher says Israel and the Jews using ‘sex craze’ to crush Arabs, CIA spreading mind-control drugs in region

Illustrative image of size measurement.

A Palestinian cleric told television viewers that Israel has spread a “sex craze” around the world and that Jews, being interested only in material worth, place offensive advertisements for penis enlargement products in the media that “crush” the spirits of Arabs and Muslims.

Sheikh Imad Yaaqub Hamatu made the comments in a June 12 broadcast on Palestinian Authority TV. An English translation of parts of his televised sermon was provided by the Washington-based Middle East Media Research (MEMRI) Institute, a non-government media watchdog.

“The global media of Israel has expanded and it has launched its war against the Arab and Muslims by spreading the sex craze throughout the world,” Hamatu declared. “As I have said in a previous lesson, Israel has resorted to this sex craze in order to crush all types of spirit among the Arabs and the Muslims.

“Everything is dead among the Muslims except for their urges,” he lamented and then expanded on the subject. “That is why we have begun to see all sorts of abominations and shamelessness on many TV channels. We see ads for penis enlargement and for all sorts of things, which are shameful and offensive to one’s modesty. Why is this? Because as said in the Quran, the Jews are the people of matter, not of spirit.”

For Jews, “only material things have value,” Hamatu warned, and offered an interpretation of the Quran quote “you shall find them to be the people most eager to protect life”: “The Quran did not say ‘their life,’ just ‘life,’ life of any kind — life in the garbage, a life of cowardice… they [the Jews] only care about staying alive.”

“What has Israel contributed to the world except for moral corruption and addiction to pills?” he asked.

Hamatu also claimed that the CIA uses drugs to control the minds of people in the Middle East.

“In a previous lesson, I have said that there is a unit in the CIA, called the Unit for Controlling the Global Mood,” he said. “They look at the map and decide what (drug) is suitable for Gaza, Jordan, or Syria.”

“Perhaps Tramadol? Happy pills, maybe? Hallucinogens?” he pondered, revealing a certain familiarity with recreational narcotics. “They are produced in India, imported to Israel, and distributed here in the Sinai.”

What this guy said.

From a commenter at  New Matilda  Not sure if I agree with it all but that is because it is not my post. But it is a post worth spreading.

Let's start with some of the simple things.
Jews are not a race.
Correct. Jews are not a race. Jews are an ethnicity or a tribe if you will.
They have always been that, whether you believe it or not.
Furthermore, as Judeans they were a nation. And now as Israelis they are a nation again.
Arguing that because Jews exist in Australia that Israel is not a Jewish state is disingeniuous.
Jews are a religion, not an ethnicity
Typical crap.
Jews may have once been a religion only but they became a fairly distinc people, culture and movement.
For 2000 years in exile they've been treated as a people. In fact, every single Soviet Jew born before 1991 has their nationality recorded as "Jew" in their birth certificate in Russian. I certainly do.
Hitler treated Jews as a people, not as a religion (that's why he killed people whose paternal grandfather was Jewish, but according to Jewish religious tradition that person is not a Jew) and the Holocaust was a transformative event in the Jewish psyche.
Jews stole Palestinian land
A correction would be that Palestinians as Arabs were merely the descendants of the Arab hordes who captured the Babylonian province of Yehud in the 7th Century, having come out of Hejaz.
And having never had sovereignty in any land as a distinc people the Palestinians have not had their sovereignty stolen or removed.
No other state is based on religion
Israel is not based on religion. There's not even an official state religion like there is in say Denmark whose constitution affirms the Lutheran Church as the State Church.
But if you want a state based on religion - how about the Vatican?
Or the state of Pakistan formed at roughly the same time as Israel for the specific purpose of being a Muslim state?
Israel has no right to exist
Every state has the right to exist. There is no provision in international law for a state to be disassembled.
The one state solution is the only solution
A funny conclusion... given that the right of Jewish self-determination is in no way less important than that of the Palestinians.
Israel wanting to be a Jewish state is a racist policy
Article 1 of the 2003 Draft Constitution of Palestine which is already a part of the Palestine Basic Law: Palestine is part of the large Arab World, and the Palestinian people are part of the Arab Nation. Arab Unity is an objective which the Palestinian People shall work to achieve
Basically it's saying Palestine is an Arab state. Yet you all fall over supporting an Arab state which has an official state religion of Islam (Article 4[1]).
Frankly, if you support the right of an ethnic Arab state to form called Palestine, you really shouldn't be complaining about an ethnic Jewish state called Israel.
Arab blood flows through a large amount of Jews in Israel
Nope. Under Ottoman and Arab law during the 1500 years Jews spent as dhimmis under Muslim rule, the law was that a Muslim could not marry a jew under millet laws unless the jew converted to Islam.
And a Muslim woman could never ever marry a non-Muslim.
So a Muslim woman could not marry a Jewish man and convert for him - meaning no Jewish kids came out of that equation... and a Muslim man could marry a jewish woman who would need to convert, plus the kid would be registered as a Muslim regardless because his/her dad was Muslim - and any Jewish worship was apostasy.
Genetic studies have confirmed this - there's statistically insignificant admixture from Arabs into Jews who lived among them in places like the Maghreb.
Jewish people existed without the need for Israel for 2000 years
Sure. We existed.
Let's review what happened in the last 150 years... pogroms in Russia forcing 2 million Jews to flee at the end of the 1890s, several hundred thousand went to Palestine over a 20 year period and started preparing the state... the rest went to America.
In 1903 and in 1905 there were anti-Jewish riots in Kishenev which later became part of Moldova - tens of thousands of Jews left for Palestine.
In 1918 Polish Jews copped the Kielce Pogrom.
In 1919, the Kiev Pogroms started... 3000 rapes, 500,000 left homeless, 70,000 killed. 200,000 left - most to America... about 50,000 to Palestine.
Then in 1934 there were the Thrace pogroms in Turkey at which time 15,000 Turkish Jews pissbolted to Palestine.
And then off course the Holocaust where one in every three Jews in the world was liquidated.
We existed. And that's about it. It was a pitiful existence.
Now there are nukes with the star of david on them. Ready to give the 7th Century to anyone who wants to live in it.
None of the Zionist Federation's early leaders were from the region
Not in the slightest bit surprising. Jews had largely been exiled from the Arab lands after many subsequent invasions.
The ratio of Ashkenazi to Sephardi Jews was about 10:1 or larger.
It's like being surprised that your typical average Australian is a white Anglo and not a dark-skinned Aboriginal holding a spear and performing a war dance.
Israel is based on religion.
I'm afraid that ain't true either.
Amazingly enough "jew" is an English word. Not a Hebrew/Aramaic word.
The Hebrew word for "jew" is "Yehudi". Means "of Judea".
"Jew" in Arabic is "Yahood". So Arabs acknowledge Jews are from Judea - it's why they call them what Jews call themselves.
Romans came and called "Yehudi" the Roman form - "Iudeus" - means "of Iudea". Which is what they called Judea befre changing it to "Palestine" to break the Jewish link to it.
As Jews travelled through the Roman Empire, they came to Gaul (France) where "Iudeus" became "guid" (old French - pronounced ee-uid) and then eventually "gui". Iudea became "judee".
Eventually the Jews crossed the Channel and "gui" became "jew" and "judee" became "Judea".
So when you call someone a Jew - you are merely calling them "of Judea" - you are acknowledging the national origin of Jews - Judea.
And if you think this is all biblical, here are Roman coins minted to commemorate the capture of Judea (Iudea Capta) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judaea_Capta_coinage
And here are coins from the Babylonian province of Yehud prior to invasion by the Arabs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yehud_coinage
Both these coin mintages predate Arab presence in the Levant.
And if you have $1.1m you can buy a Judean Shekel (same currency name as used by Israel today) from the year 66 C.E: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/world/story/2012-03-09/ancient-judean-coin-auction/53434212/1
http://www.truetorahjews.org/
For some reason someone always posts something about Neturei Karta, as if having "true torah" jews proves something.
Jews as a people/tribe are not homogenous. We. like everyone else live on the same political spectrum and religious spectrum.
Some Jews are believers. Some jew, like me are atheists. Some jews are far right. Some jews are far left. Most are in the middle.
But here's the completely baffling thing...
Every time someone needs a "useful Jew", truetorahjews come out... which is funny because they're a millenarian cult within the religion that is classically religious-nationalist - IE when they decide that the Messiah has come, they are willing to condone genocide and armageddon to establish a Tanach-compliant Talmudic state of Israel.
Their beef with Israel is that it wasn't established by God. And hence their hatred is against Israeli secular structures and perceived anti-religious valies.
Align with them by all means, but they're the Jewish ISIS. They just lack the weapons and the twitter accounts. And they're no good with hacking heads off with swords...
It is illegal for states to recognize territories acquired by war/force
It is not. Australia committed no crime when we recognized Indonesian sovereignty over E. Timor in 1975.
The problem is talknic does not understand customary International Law.
See the Montevideo Convention is a treaty between 16 nations. Article 10 states "The primary interest of states is the conservation of peace. Differences of any nature which arise between them should be settled by recognized pacific methods."
Article 11 states "The contracting states definitely establish as the rule of their conduct the precise obligation not to recognize territorial acquisitions or special advantages which have been obtained by force whether this consists in the employment of arms, in threatening diplomatic representations, or in any other effective coercive measure."
The difference should be immediately obvious.
Article 10 is general, whereas Article 11 binds the contracting states - ie the 16 states who ratified the Convention.
So while it is certainly true that the generic rule is that states should not recognise captured territory, the only law against it binds 16 states only and of those states several have recognised captured territory as sovereign to the occupier. Such as the USA's recognition of German Kaliningrad being annexed by the Soviet Union.
In fact, the USA does not generally seem to hold itself bound by Montevideo because they keep introducing bills into Congress such as the one in January - that disallow Congress or the President to recognise the Russian annexation of Crimea - these bills would be useless if America was bound by international law from doing it.

Reasons To Advocate For Israel

geoffff

1    Because  you are an Australian and by no means necessarily Jewish.

2    Because Israel is fighting our war.

If the forces in the world aligned so emphatically against Israel were to succeed in overcoming her it would be catastrophic for the world not the least because it could have only been done by force.

A war anywhere is not good for people anywhere.

This would have been a catastrophic war.

It would be a catastrophe for us.

That would be just the start of it.

Those who think of Israel in terms of South Africa and apartheid are badly and dangerously wrong. That way lies terrible war.

3     In the meantime just as bad is the chronic illness of anti-Israelism in the West and its corrosive effect on thought especially in the media, universities and increasingly among politicians.

This is our problem far more than it is the Israelis.

The "Nakba" was the fault of the Arab world, was no big deal anyway relative to what else was going on in the world in 1948 and  became a crime only when the Arab world herded the people into camps and subjected them to a savagely enforced apartheid that with the bottomless support of the UN and the West endures to this day.

It is indeed perhaps one of the worst crimes against a people since the war.

This is an enduring war crime against the refugees of 1948 in which the West was and is complicit. Help the people on the ground of course but  it had to be explicit that the people will be set free.

Why was it not? Why were they not?

Those with somewhere to go and can support themselves or who have support must be free to go anywhere including anywhere in the Arab world.

They must have full national and civil rights where they go especially if they are in the country they are born.

Basic. But that almost only ever happened in Israel, the US and the West.

What about the Arab and Muslim states who refused the Palestinians this human right?

What about that crime?

Freedom did not enter into the calculations of the body charged with the guardianship of human rights as it hasn't much ever since. Nor any others who are vocal about human rights. There has never been a campaign anywhere calling to let these people go.

That there has not been a movement and barely a voice to free these people is an example of the corrosive impact of anti-Israelist ideology on political thought in the West

Instead the UN created some new kind of citizenship in the form of a card which bestowed entitlements, an identity and a curse that can be passed on and split among the generations for eternity.

Now the refugees have become a people and the people demand recognition as a nation with a sovereign state.

OK. It wouldn't be the first time in history that refugees have become a people, a nation and a state.

But it would be the first time that a nation was brought forth by keeping a people with no particular national identity in a tightly laced straitjacket  that ensures a burning core grievance nurtured from birth against another nation for a crime that has been projected on to them by the true criminals who are all around them and within. A nation forged in hate and chains.  A nation forced to life by refusing human rights to the people. A state born not of freedom but of the card.

That is the curse of the Palestinian people.

You cannot shake the queasy feeling that the UN and the world have been playing with the stuff of our souls and that will be delivered out of this is something new and nasty. A nation recognized without the "land for peace" and "mutual recognition" deals that are critical but are refused, refused still even to discuss, least of all with the nation that it has vowed to destroy and supersede.

So let us talk for the first time of the true Nakba of the Palestinian people to understand the nature of what we have done to them. The Nakba that started when the  Arab world, with unspeakable cruelty, turned their backs on them and with the aid of the West were turned into a subclass in the lands where they were born. A subclass with an ideology that demands hatred of a state and people wholly innocent of the crimes against them that they see every day.

We are expected to recognise a nation that is locked into a war that it cannot win and cannot withdraw from either, and by doing this we are anointing the curse that has been brought on these people.

This hurts the Palestinians far more than the Israelis and as our handiwork is likely to blow up in in our faces, it is as good a reason as any to advocate for Israel.

This has to stop. Not in our name.

The dilemma of "Palestine" is not our fault. It is not the fault of Israel. Let us be clear about whose fault it is. It could head off a disaster for all of us.

Crime Court Fiddling On The Roof

geoffff

There's a new movie in the works.

It has already been awarded five stars and a Nobel Prize just for the trailer

Palestine has been recognised as sort of a state player by the International Criminal Court.

Hugely popular among the latte belligerensa because it means the Palestinians can get back at the Zionist criminals by lawful peaceful means.

So why now the sound of crickets chirping in the evening from the belligerent ones?

Get on with it!

Demand action on Palestine over the Gaza atrocities. You were before.

Prosecute the street filth clumps of war criminals.

Get them off the streets and throw their terrorist bosses backsides somewhere the sun don't shine at all.

Brussels sounds about right.

The future of international law is in the balance and that is not the only balance at stake.  Come on ICC activists. Restore law and order.

Of course there is no law if there is a double standard.

One forces the other out of the building like a broken sewer and that's not the worst of it. What's left in the building is the worst of it.

Never mind the elephant in the room

A Jim Crow trial? A sharia tribunal? Star Chamber? Stalinist show trial? A Nazi court? A lynch mob? A Jake Lynch mob?

One law for you, another for them, whatever I can arrange for me; and whatever you choose to call the lurking hulk we have in the place instead needs putting down before it does more harm.

So bring it on I say.

Let the process begin.

Launch the investigations.

On with the prosecutions.

Haul their sorry asses into court and let the cameras roll

Israel did not want that war and fought it quick and clean to get the filthy job done. No military in the world could have done better to avoid people in the way and few would have been as motivated.

Hamas hid behind women and children and used the corpses of kids they killed as propaganda. They did their best to kill as many as they could of the people they attacked without warning in a war declared  in the most vile way in history until then.

Hamas set the standard for the Islamic State and they set it high.

Israel has nothing to fear.

Unless the process is a double standard and the wraith lurking in  the walls is just a Court of the Inquisition on the hunt for Jews.

Greens Ponder A Tough One

May 1948

Federal Greens Leader Richard Di Natale speaks to journalists at Parliament House in Canberra, Wednesday, May 13, 2015. (AAP Image/Mick Tsikas) NO ARCHIVING
May 2015

Consistent with Greens policy, I have always supported a peaceful, two-state solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict that upholds the legitimate rights and aspirations of both the Palestinian and Israeli people to live in peace and security in their own independent, sovereign states. My comments in the AJN piece were intended to reflect that view and that view alone. I have never believed that the establishment of a ‘Jewish state’ (as opposed to an ‘Israeli state’) is conducive to this outcome and I absolutely do not support that goal.
Richard Di Natale

For any member, voter or supporter of the Australian Greens.

A question if I may.

Is there a Jewish state and if so what is its name?

Say What?

There is no Jewish state and we don't want one.

Did I miss something?

When did that happen? Why wasn't I told?

Are you a member, voter or supporter of the Australian Greens?

Another tough question for anyone who has anything to do with the Greens  ...

Definition Of Antisemitism

“Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities. In addition, such manifestations could also target the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity"
Obama
May 2015
I think a good baseline is: Do you think that Israel has a right to exist as a homeland for the Jewish people, and are you aware of the particular circumstances of Jewish history that might prompt that need and desire? And if your answer is no, if your notion is somehow that that history doesn’t matter, then that’s a problem, in my mind. If, on the other hand, you acknowledge the justness of the Jewish homeland,... blah blah blah.
Pope

“whoever does not accept the Jewish people and does not accept the State of Israel, which has a right to exist, is guilty of anti-Semitism.”

The question?

Do you know what racist intransigence looks like?

Marrickville On Steroids

geoffff

Image result for laurel and hardy
Sold A Pup

The Greens have landed themselves slam dunk right back in the middle of their worst Marrickville moment nightmare and have added a dimension that makes the whole show look like a horror movie.

Marrickville was only a local inner city council with tickets on itself.  It was tougher to explain how BDS was antisemitic and the air over Sydney University still hangs thick with the denials in the face of all the evidence.

This time it is federal and involves the party leader who has been in the job since morning tea (hereafter referred to as "New Guy") . And it will be so easy to show that the Greens have a racism problem there has to be a fair chance that even people like Bob Carr will twig.

The full disaster is recorded at New Matilda as it unfolded but it seems they and the Greens have yet to notice the rank corner where they have wound up and so fast.

Someone should turn on the light.

The background is simple. An AJN reporter gives a friendly interview to New Guy who too is real nice. Sweet as pie. It has the look of  part of an attempt to patch up with the Greens. (How cute)

In the course of the interview the reporter asks New Guy whether the two state solution must include the Jewish state.  New Guy emphatically agrees almost falling over under the load of sugar and spice.

Before you know it, the AJN story got around, the Greens party members are revolting and a few days later New Guy is backtracking like the Iraqi army.

He issues a "clarification"  that includes this extraordinary sentence.

I have never believed that the establishment of a ‘Jewish state’ (as opposed to an ‘Israeli state’) is conducive to this outcome and I absolutely do not support that goal

Say what?

This is a "two state solution" ?

This from a comment I left on the thread. They deserve fair warning for a clanger this jarring. The Greens make these mistakes because they talk only to one side, or rather listen to only one side, they are so narrowly focused, and of course those formulating policy have no idea at all even about  the basic landscape.

Not to mention racist.

It is astonishing that this is controversial but it is and I welcome it because  it might help the Greens to focus on and say honestly exactly what they stand for; and get the rest of us focusing on the Greens as a consequence
The background as I understand it was an attempt at a reset of the relationship between the Jewish community and the Greens whose brand had begun to stink like a dead rat in the roof.. It was probably initiated by Jewish Greens anxious to restore Jewish support which I  guess would have been disproportionately   high and may be still,  but confused and conflicted.
The construct "Jewish state"or "national home of the Jewish people" is not  controversial among Jews. The word "Israel" means the Jewish people.  There was some noise about legislation changes but that is a different matter. These are opposed by centre , moderate and left factions as being unnecessary, divisive and inflammatory for Israeli Arabs   but  all of this is something on a different plane. It is a matter for the Israelis.

It has no connection to the central principle that Israel is the Jewish state, the national home of the Jewish people with all sovereign rights and privileges that are asserted and due to every other sovereign state.
Non-negotiable
It will come as a surprise to the rest of the world that Israel was not the Jewish state especially that part that would dearly like to see it obliterated for exactly that reason.
When did that happen?
New Guy will be well advised to have his answer ready next time because he is sure to be asked.
You can rule out that New Guy was tricked by AJN into something. Every question was in good faith and the reporter would have honestly believed that New Guy agreed with the obvious proposition that if a "two state solution " means anything at all, it means that there are two states, one of which is the existing Jewish state recognized by the civilized world for what it is for decades. The Jewish state and national homeland of the Jews.
Abbas refuses to explicitly recognize a Jewish state because he knows that if he did he would have seen his last sunrise. For most Palestinians and many Muslims, the idea of Jewish sovereignty over any part of Israel is repulsive and unthinkable. Hamas, IJ, the Salafists etc still demand that she be destroyed. Recognition in any true sense is worse than anathema. It is blasphemous in a culture where blasphemy has severe consequences.
In the background is the so called Arab "right of return" to all of Israel, which is so loopy it is creepy. But Abbas can't revoke that either because it is core to the ideology of Palestinianism
So he tries on this formula where he will recognize Israel as some kind of concept  distinct from the Jewish state, although that is what "Israel" literally means. It's a dodge. Everything Abbas does is a dodge.
Where possibly can it lead? A peace deal?
Then along come the Australians Greens to fix it all.
Thing is, not recognizing Israel as the Jewish state is antisemitism and this is increasingly being understood and declared by everyone from Obama to the Pope.
So in desperately seeking not to be seen to be  aligned with Netanyahu, New Guy  has now enunciated a policy that yanks the party out of alignment with moderate Jews and supporters of Israel who sincerely stretch for a two state solution, and pretty much the rest of the civilized world; and brings it into line with those who declare that  Jews were never entitled to their own state in the first place because they are Jews and as they are still Jews should have it taken from them all these years later as they have been saying all along and have been doing their absolute best to bring about with all their might.
Which of course is antisemitism.
At this rate New Guy will be "clarifying" Greens policy on Israel and the Palestinians from here until the next election.
Which is a good thing.
After all what the hell do the Greens stand for?
Do the Greens now have an openly racist policy on their books?
And if it is not racist, how is it not, especially since the rest of the civilized world is in the process of declaring that antizionism is antisemitism?
Good one, Greens.
Glad I'm not member.  Especially a Jewish member. If you want to hang out with racists you could do better by joining the Ku Klux Klan

-------------------------------
If it wasn't so nasty it would be comical. They seem to actually believe that those domestic political machinations by Netanyahu a while back were the real McCoy on whether Israel is the Jewish state which of course it has been for longer than most of them have been alive.
The Israelis are about to legislate for a Jewish state, they thought
Could they really be this bad?
New Guy could be Ollie to Rhiannon's Stan

This is another fine mess you've got me into, Laurel.
